This project aims to tackle the issue of gender inequality through empowerment, education and the promotion of women's rights. The project will work in 25 villages in nothern Tanzania to establish community ""Women's Rights Committees' desgned to promote women's equal involvement in community activities. These committees will train women on their-rights to education, property, basic services, health care, representation and seculity against domestic violence and will advocate for their needs at the household, village, district and national level. These committees aim to preempt future abuses and mainstream gender equality at varying scales. This project will also undertake a study to investigate livelhood options for people living in Ngorongoro Conservation Area {NCA} an area where women have recently fallen victim to mistreatment. Subsequently, the findings will be used to plan a conference joining all key stakeholders togethey to strategize ways forward. The ultimate goal of the conference will be to determine a fair and just approach where the goverment and the people of NAC can make agreements that allow them both to live and work in cooperation.
