This project will support Fiji's Ministry of Economy to develop the country's first 5-year carbon budget as required under Fiji's Climate Change Act adopted in 2021. The project will identify the appropriate approach and methodology to prepare carbon budget and develop the carbon budget for government consideration and approval.
Outputs:
- A recommended methodological approach to determine indicative carbon budget
- Identify and collect all data requirements to develop the carbon budget and compile the GHG data
- Fiji’s indicative carbon budget (2026-2030)
- Refined Carbon Budget Methodology for current and future carbon budgets
- Fiji’s Updated Carbon Budget (2026-2030)
