ASEAN-Korean cooperation in Integrated Municipal Solid Waste Management

In partnership with GTC-K , GGGI, K-Eco(환경관리 공단), NTC (Nanyang Technology College), and Eco-partners (Korean private consulting firm), GGGI will develop a regional project for the ASEAN Korea Cooperation Trust Fund The project will focus on capacity building and technology transfer for integrated solide waste management (incl. industrial waste management and W2E). The project will include (1) Status and gap analysis for ISWM (policy, technology and business development) & streamlined ISWM framework/guideline design (model case); (2) ISWM diagnostics toolkit development and training; (3) Identification and formulation of ISWM priority projects; (4) Korean-ASEAN Integrated Green Technology Platform(KAIGTP) set-up and operation; and (5) International Conferences. The project period will be 3 years starting from Q3 2021. The total budget will be USD3-3.5M. GGGI will lead output (1) and (3) and play a supporting role on (5). GGGI portion expected 300k to 400k.
