In preparation for the approval of the multi-year GCF readiness proposal in 2022 and the Zambian government accelerating the membership process, GGGI plans to leverage core funds to rapidly initiate green growth support activities on the ground. GGGI's support is to benchmark Zambia's green growth performance and establish its readiness for transitioning to a green economy growth model using GGGI’s Green Growth Potential Assessment and Green Growth Index tools. Key outcomes include a National Green Growth index and green growth indicators for their new 8th National Development Plan.
