The project implementation area is Dagana region in Saint-Louis, the Senegal River Valley. The principal objectives of the project are: 1 – Improvement of harvest rate and income of rice and vegetable farm households in the target area through the adoption of solar PV technologies & climate smart practices, 2 – Provision of financial services via digital banking and the supply of inputs and access to outputs enabled by an agribusiness hub, 3 – Creation of Green business and employment opportunities for youth and women, 4 – Reduced GHG emissions with solarization of grid-powered pumping stations and promoting climate-smart practices
