Power Sector Reform Project under Himacal Pradesh Power Sector Development Program

The World Bank’s IBRD Loan of US$ 200 million has been proposed for the Program, along with counterpart financing of US$ 50 million for the implementation period of 2022 to 2027. The infrastructure and institutional capacity building is critical for the purpose of periodic processing of the loan and the effective implementation of the Program. Hence, this project will focus on following three result areas i.e. Integrated Resource Planning (IRP) and its sustainability, promoting resource-efficient investments, and strengthening institutional capacities of the various power sector utilities/agencies in HP.
