The Solomon Islands, in its second phase country request to the Regional Pacific NDC Hub, presented its request for the development of a Low Emission Development Strategy (LEDS) with the overall aim of using this to provide guidance and direction to the national government as its blueprint for transitioning to a low emission and climate change resilient country. Taking into account that the Pacific NDC Hub’s second phase of implementation concludes on 30 November 2021, GGGI proposes to support the Solomon Islands between April – November to prepare to develop its LEDS. This LEDS preparatory phase, delivered over a 7-8 month period, will set the stage for the second phase of LEDS development and completion.
