Lima Municipality Organic Waste Valorization

GGGI is supporting the Lima Municipality (MML) to develop their capacities to increase organic waste valorization in the Cercado de Lima area. For this goal, GGGI and the MML identified 4 key opportunities to develop during 2020: i) Develop a funding proposal to encourage segregation and valorization of organic waste produced in markets, ii) produce energy from organic waste, iii) secure alliances with the private sector for organic waste valorization, and iv) develop proposals for programmes for selective segregation and collection of organic waste for the valorization plant.
