The IA financial contribution is to lead to the technical scaling and market validation to capture gas at small-scale flares sites burning up to 5 million standard cubic foot of gas per day. Once operational, these installation will have significant impact on reducing stillborns, respiratory illnesses and other diseases. Also the saved gas will replace the need for gather wood, coal or petroleum burning in households. Given the sensitivity of engaging with the fossil oil industry, this feasibility study will give a clear view on the impact of the technology and business approach.
