The establishment of the National Vocational Training Institute (NVTI) in Polonnaruwa (Sri Lanka)

This project will provide high quality education to more than 1300 students of the Polonnaruwa region and North Central Province. Focus will be on Construction, Equipment & Heavy Vehicle Operations, Automobile Repair and Maintenance, Hospitality and Tourism and Personal and Community Development and Agriculture.By improving educational outcomes, employability of students of both genders will increase. This will have many secondary positive effects, including increased income and health. A highly skilled labour force will have positive macro-economic effects for Sri Lanka, especially in the long term.
