The main objective of this project is the development of year round, safe and reliable public Transport on the Chindwin River in Myanmar by providing specialised shallow draft passenger ferry vessels that can be operated by the Department of Inland Water Transport. In addition, the project will provide adequate mooring places (e.g. jetties) with inland connections as well as (very) local “hot spot dredging” to deepen extreme shallow patches. Develop2Build is supporting the feasibility study and an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) to guarantee independence and impartiality.Environmental and Social Impact Assessment
