Collection and Disposal of Municipal Solid Waste in Jinja Municipalty

The project is targeting waste collection, transport, sorting and disposal in the municipality of Jinja (including Bugembe). Waste management has continued to be an increasing challenge in Jinja Municipality and in Uganda in general. The main objective of the D2B assignment is to improve the management of municipal solid waste by first focusing on improving waste collection, transportation, sorting and disposal. This is done through continuous capacity building to Jinja Municipal Council and by developing several studies in order to assess which solutions are best suitable to solve the current waste challenges in Jinja.
