Jakarta Port Expansion (Feasibility Study)

The government of Indonesia is currently looking at the development of a number of islands in front of the coast of Jakarta, Indonesia. Three of those islands, the so called OPQ islands, could function as an expansion of the Tanjung Priok Port, the main port of Jakarta. Ultimately, with the Maasvlakte II as the main example, Tanjung Priok wants to integrate port development with industrial hinterland development of the port. When completed, the project will have both direct and indirect socio-economic benefits from port and industrial zones. The studies done under D2B will lay the ground work for this project. The local government of Jakarta, DKI Bappeda is the competent authority of this project. The studies for this project are done by a consortium of Witteveen+Bos Raadgevende Ingenieurs B.V. and HaskoningDHV Nederland B.V..Feasibility Study
