River crossing Kapuas river Pontianak

This project contains the (pre) feasibility study of a river crossing over the Kapuas river near the city of Pontianak, West Kalimantan. The project will specifically research the possibility to build a immersed tunnel over a bridge at this location. This could potentially be the first immersed tunnel in Indonesia. This option is considered by the government of Indonesia because of the fact that the Pontianak river is heavenly used for shipping traffic. An immersed tunnel would ensure that shipping traffic. This project is done in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Works.
