The Newton Fund builds research and innovation partnerships with partner countries, including Indonesia, to support their economic development and social welfare, and to develop their research and innovation capacity for long-term sustainable growth. Newton Fund Indonesia, launched in 2014 in Indonesia, is an official collaborative development programme between the UK and Indonesian Government in the area of research and innovation. Our current national partner is Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (MoRTHE), which is now being merged with and becomes part of Ministry of Education and Culture (MoEC).
