Tabeer - CDIP is supporting the consolidation of democracy in Pakistan by strengthening the capacity of the country's institutions to make them more effective, accountable and responsive to the needs of the Pakistani people. The programme will achieve this by focusing on four core areas: elections, parliaments, political parties, and democratic space. Focus is also on increasing the political participation of women, young people, minorities and persons with disabilities. (Tabeer is an Urdu word that means ' realisation', in this case 'reaching full democratic potential'.)
