ZAP aims to strengthen supply and demand-led mechanisms of accountability to deliver improvements in the lives of Zambia’s poor, particularly in relation to service delivery. Specifically, programme interventions include strengthening political processes and democratic institutions; Improving access to education for vulnerable girls through a bursary programme, and strengthening school governance structures to facilitate policy implementation and institutionalise accountability mechanisms; and Increasing the capacity of local think tanks to carry out politically informed, high quality research and build partnerships to influence economic policy.
