The protracted Rohingya crisis in Cox’s Bazar has intensified socio-economic pressures, leading to conflicts between refugees and host communities over limited resources. Women and girls from both groups are particularly vulnerable. Civil society organizations (CSO) in Bangladesh, however, face capacity challenges due to restricted civic space, limiting their ability to drive social cohesion and development efforts. This project seeks to strengthen CSOs, enabling them to lead gender-responsive peacebuilding and development initiatives, reduce community conflicts, and support skills-based livelihood opportunities for both Rohingya refugees and host communities. By capacitating CSOs, the project aims to foster social cohesion, build community resilience, and enhance sustainable development.
