ToGETHER - Towards Greater Effectiveness and Timeliness in Humanitarian Emergency Response (Localisation Programme)

To reduce effects of disasters on local communities in eight countries of intervention 40 local and national humanitarian organisations (five per country) and four international consortium partners will jointly develop and undertake capacity strengthening and exchange measures in order to reinforce their institutional and operational capacity for an effective and timely response to humanitarian crises and localised, principled humanitarian action. The ToGETHER programme promotes complementary partnerships and advocates for the local partners’ roles as leading local actors in humanitarian response, putting localisation - understood as transformation - into practice.
