At long last, much of Burundi is enjoying relatively good harvests. However, this is not the case in northern Burundi. On the contrary, this region's climate remains extremely dry, and its people are dependent on humanitarian assistance. This project plays its part by distributing seed material for beans, vegetables, and sweet potatoes. Particularly vulnerable households are also receiving cash. Access to drinking water is being improved, and hygiene training is being provided. This is especially important for preventing the spread of Ebola, as new cases have been reported in DR Congo.
