After a terrorist attack by Boko Haram in north-eastern Nigeria, many people have fled to neighbouring Niger. Here they are staying with relatives or camping in designated areas. With money from an emergency relief fund, Welthungerhilfe supports refugees and host communities with food vouchers. This not only helps the people who urgently need help, but also the local markets. At the same time, the opportunity is taken to provide families with hygiene measures and information on healthy nutrition for young children.
