The Start-Up phase of the project aimed to undertake the necessary operational and staffing activities in preparation of the longer-term Project which will seek to strengthen the links between, and the capacities of, justice institutions and local communities in the Sahel region, in order to improve access to justice, address root causes for forms of crime and violence that constitute a major source of instability and help bring an end to impunity.
