PRS who remain in Jordan irregularly continue to live under risk of arrest, detention and/or forced return. Their lack of legal status and corresponding protection risks are a source of major concern to UNRWA. UNRWA will continue to monitor the situation and advocate with the Jordanian authorities and engage with the IHRS to improve and enhance the protection environment for PRS. The Agency will continue to provide targeted support to individuals and families, including PRS, facing GBV, child protection and general protection concerns.
