This project aims to operationalize the WHO recommendation for pilot implementation of the new malaria vaccine, RTS,S/AS01, and the evaluation of feasibility, impact, and safety of the vaccine when used in a routine immunization programme. The overall goal of the Malaria Vaccine Implementation Programme is to achieve a WHO policy recommendation on the use of the RTS,S/AS01 malaria vaccine in young children in sub-Saharan Africa.
