Transparency International and the German Development Cooperation have a strategic partnership that aims to strengthen and promote each partner's anti-corruption efforts. This project contributes directly to the vision and objectives of the Marshall Plan with Africa, and to TI's Strategy 2020. The project corresponds to the aspirations of pillar three of the Marshall Plan through strengthening civil society's capacity to engage with the fight against corruption, a well as strengthen the ability to contribute to the promotion of good governance, political participation, and democracy. The project seeks to further enhance ongoing dialogue and sharing of expertise between TI, BMZ, and GIZ on both programmatic and policy levels, as well as concerning regional and country-specific issues of mutual concern as part of the strategic partnership.
