Population Services International (PSI), along with its partners Banja La Mtsologo (BLM) and University of Strathclyde (UoS), will implement "Tsogolo Langa" Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights Programme/Family Planning (SRHR/FP) Services Programme in Malawi. Despite the Government of Malawi's (GoM's) tremendous commitments – and progress –towards improving the sexual and reproductive health (RH) landscape, multiple supply- and demandside challenges limit FP adoption and continuation. These include insufficient service delivery points, pervasive myths and misconceptions regarding modern contraception, lack of quality FP counselling, underlying non-supportive social norms, and limited attention focused on specific sub-populations (e.g., underserved women, youth, and people with disabilities [PWD]). The Tsogolo Langa programme is an opportunity for youth in Malawi to develop into empowered individuals capable of taking ownership of their futures. By enabling young people to take control over their sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), and their social positions within their communities, PSI/M will support long-term social and economic change in Malawi. The Tsogolo Langa programme is also an opportunity to achieve immediate results through mobile outreach service delivery and simultaneously diagnose and address barriers facing members of the target group.
