TRADE FACILITATION THROUGH INCREASED LOGISTICS INFRASTRUCTURE AND SERVICES AT THE BANJUL INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

This Project was prepared under the Enhanced Integrated Framework (EIF) for Trade Related Technical Assistance to Least Developed Countries. This is a trade facilitation project that enhances The Gambia’s integration process into regional and international markets. The Project concept stems directly from the Horticulture and Tourism Sections of the Government of The Gambia’s Diagnostic Trade Integration Study (DTIS) and its Action Matrix. The Project aims at building on the recent Tourism Business and Marketing Plans steered by the Ministry of Tourism and it also builds on the recent refurbishment and navigation system improvements at the airport. The project will follow the EIF TIER 2 implementing modality of ‘Government Implementation’, whereby the overall responsibility and accountability for the management of the project lies with the Government of The Gambia.
