PREPARING THE PUBLIC AND FINANCIAL SECTOR FOR CLIMATE TRANSITION RISK: CAPACITY BUILDING AND CALL TO ACTION (Phase 3)

This is an extension for the project “Preparing the public and private sector for climate transition risk in Colombia: capacity-building and call to action” implemented between March 2021 and March 2023. This project continues to leverage on the experience of the Centro Regional de Finanzas Sostenibles (CFS) at Uniandes regarding applied research, network creation, and capacity building in climate risks and opportunities to drive a call to action towards a more organized, equitable and just climate transition in Colombia. The project aims to continue working with: (a) financial institutions through the financial institutions affiliated to Asobancaria, Asofondos and Fasecolda, (b) with the national and local government institutions (e.g. Min Hacienda, Min Ambiente, DNP, Min Energía, UPME, MinAgricultura, MinCIT, local governments of Cesar and Guajira), (c) and now with key firms of the real sector that are transitioning to a low carbon economy and are interested in doing match-making with the financial sector to mobilize resources.
