The project aims at commercializing indigenous species such as baobab or marula fruit as well as herbs, spices and herbal teas as a means to increase household incomes of 4,000 smallholder farmers in dryland areas in Zimbabwe. Activities include research on the under-utilized species, product and market development both locally and internationally, training the farmers and ensuring knowledge dissemination, as well as achieving fair trade and other organic certification.;
