Esm3ni amplifies youth voice and agency, strengthens community media, builds critical thinking skills while producing and disseminating positive alternative narratives and youth-led media content. In a whole-of-community approach, the project engages community leaders, building the capacity of educators, local government institutions, and civil society to engage and to act as positive mentors to youth-led media projects. By building students’ media production skills and providing them with practical media experience, the program increases youth job-readiness and opens new employment opportunities. Esm3ni is funded by the ministry of foriegn affairs of the Netherlands. IREX will implement the program in partnership with a public university and a national NGO.
