Conditions for prevention of further violence and future accountability for massive human rights violations in Syria are advanced, leading to the design of concrete, feasible measures to address immediate humanitarian and human rights needs and longer-term strategies towards truth, justice, return, and peaceful coexistence. This program contributes to the following outcomes: Outcome 1: Syrian civil society organizations increase the impact of their documentation efforts to address legacies of massive human rights violations and lay the foundations for peace, justice and inclusion. Outcome 2: Policymakers and practitioners from the international community involved in peace-building process of the Syrian conflict include considerations about justice and peaceful coexistence and incorporate learning from relevant international experience.
