This project "Programme G50-UMVA-Expansion, Phasing out," is implemented by AUXFIN International and funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, through the Embassy in Burundi. The primary goal of this phase is to manage the expansion and eventual phasing out of AUXFINs G50-UMVA-Expansion programme's activities. The phase will run from October 1, 2025, until July 31, 2026. The phase facilitates a transition from donor reliance toward market-oriented autonomy following the cessation of funding from the Netherlands Embassy. The project focuses on professionalizing community structures and UMVA Business Centers to enhance value chain integration and digital service delivery for over 517,000 households. Primary activities involve securing access to high-quality agricultural inputs, formalizing collective production contracts with institutional buyers, and implementing an advocacy framework to secure long-term private sector partnerships and financial sustainability.
