Going for Gold: Ghana

This project is part of the Going for Gold programme in Ghana and Tanzania, implemented in cooperation with Simavi. The aim of this project is that women in and around artisanal and smallscale gold mining communities in Ghana are more economically empowered. The two main outcomes are: 1. Improved working conditions, including health and safety and equal pay for equal work, for women working in Artisanal and Small-Scale Gold Mines (ASGM). 2. Increased abilities to engage in economic activities for all women in ASGM communities.
