Healthy Fruits & Vegetables for Africa

The goal of this project is to promote sustainable fruit and vegetable production in Ghana, South Africa and Tanzania through integrated policy influencing, towards the development of a national food policy and fruit and vegetable standards for enhanced livelihoods. Objectives include: Establishment of a national multi-stakeholder forum to spearhead the development and implementation of policy and standards; Capacity development of local CSO, farmer groups and individual farmers’ capacity in relation to the policy and standards; Training of  local auditors to be able to undertake both internal and external local standard audits; and dissemination of knowledge and lessons learned through publications and stakeholder’s forums.
