Led by CAPROPALMA, the Nicaraguan palm oil sector, with support from Solidaridad and its CSO partners, palm oil and livestock producers, communities and government entities in the RACS will co-develop an enabling environment for policy development and implement an integrated and sustainable landscape management approach that seeks the appropriate balance between large-scale commodity production and food security that reflects a robust socially-inclusive policy framework that strengthens resilience to the effects of climate change such as extreme weather events and other shocks, and that promotes a sustainable and healthy natural resource base for future generations.
