Since the General Assembly adopted the 2030 Agenda in September 2015, focus has been on how to implement the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and their 169 global targets. While the UN will host a High Level Political Forum each year from 2016-19 to follow the process and keep track of progress, the task to realise the goals now sits with the national governments, not just in the global south but across the world. A broad variety of partnerships, platforms, associations and forums have formed during the past year to support the implementation processes, monitor governments and statistical bureaus, provide shadow reporting and additional data and develop national targets and indicators. A recent report counted that 198 legal partnerships have emerged 16 related to the SDG implementation in addition to more than 1,500 voluntary commitments. Among the relevant existing initiatives that work on SDG implementation on a global level, the following have a relevant connection to the PUF agenda on inclusivity and just and peaceful societies:  The Open Government Partnership, a multilateral initiative that secures commitments from governments to promote transparency, empower citizens, fight corruption, and strengthen governance.  The Transparency, Accountability and Participation (TAP) Network, a network of CSOs that works to ensure that open, inclusive, accountable and effective governance is at the heart of the 2030 Agenda, and that civil society is included as partners in the design, implementation and accountability of sustainable development policies, at all levels.  The sub-branch of The World Federation of UN Associations (WFUNA), The 16+ Forum that engages Member States, CSOs, UN agencies and other stake  Moreover, the Civil Society Platform for Peacebuilding and Statebuilding (CSPPS) is now looking at ways to reformulate the mission of their platform to move away from a narrow focus on peacebuilding and statebuilding in and among states sharing experiences of fragility, to engage with the Sustainable Development Agenda more broadly.
