International Tax Planning

This IBFD workshop was meant to strengthen the capacity of 50 DTA Officers with regard to the fundamentals of international tax planning in the Indonesian context. The program was built in such a way that conceptual highlights will be presented during the morning sessions, while in the afternoon the same concepts were brought into practice by working in groups on small assignments. The objectives of the workshop were twofold: (1) To deliver the participants thorough knowledge about the common business restructuring options such as merger, acquisition and liquidation, and (2) To provide the participants with an in-depth analysis of the legal, tax, and commercial consequences arising when a business entity decided to do a business restructuring.
