Africa Seminar: Offshore Entities – Past, Present and Future for the SADC and EAC Member States Tax Authorities Officers

5-day Seminar for 24 Tax Authority Officers of six SADC and EAC Member States. The aim of the program was to share insights on the current discussions around the use of offshore companies and other entities in lights of global developments on exchange of information and other strategies that administrations may adopt. Additionally, a field visit to a trust company in Amsterdam and a comprehensive case study was conducted throughout the week, in order to work in country groups on issues connected closely with the global transparency initiatives and the effectiveness of these initiatives to counteract offshore tax avoidance and evasion.
