SRJS - Partnerships for strengthening civil society’s advocacy and lobby efforts to promote IPGs in Uganda – the case of Murchison falls landscape

The program will focus on Murchison and Queens landscapes in Western Uganda. It will undertake lobby and advocacy actions that target critical ecosystem resources that risk extinction as a result of ever expanding oil and gas operations and unsustainable land use practices specifically plantation farming that is threatening Water, food and climate modifying ecosystems . Core target ecosystems for NAPE’s lobby and advocacy actions for 2016/2017 will be Bugoma and Budongo forests, Lake Albert, the Albert Nile Delta and the Lake Edward-Virunga corridor threatened by the Ngagi Oil block developments that has currently been opened up for new licencing.
