Open Call: Next Generation 2020

The Next Generation is a programme created specifically for and with young people (ages 15-30). Through this programme we sought applications for one-year projects for and by young people to build more inclusive, open-minded societies and provide safe spaces for young people to create their own narratives which can help people see their world in new and different ways. The 2018 call was open to applications from DAC-listed countries in Africa and the Middle East, the 2019 call to applications from DAC-listed countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, and the 2020 call to applications from DAC-listed countries in Asia and Eastern Europe. The Next Generation Calls for Proposals focus specifically on the following outcomes of the Prince Claus Fund's Theory of Change: Alternative narratives: Stories that lead to greater understanding; stories that are seldom heard, that differ from a dominant narrative, that reveal a more complex reality; Growth of individuals and organisations: Activities that strengthen the confidence and competence of cultural practitioners.
