CARE and partners NIRVANA and BAPE, will address Protection (GBV) and FSL needs in 3 camps: Aboutengue (formerly Ourang), and Arkoum 1 & 2; established in nomadic areas, incorporating host community members that were present before the start of the crisis. The main entry point of the intervention concerns the prevention and response to GBV, through direct support to GBV survivors as well as community engagement and vigilance. Building on CARE and partners’ local experience and understanding, the FSL component includes both direct food support and strategies to enhance resilience and longer term food security. CARE is currently finalizing a market analysis using the EMMA methodology which will be instrumental in deciding on the distribution modality for the food security component.
