Get Up Speak Out alliance (GUSO): This alliance consists of Rutgers, dance4life, Simavi, International Planned Parenthood Federation, aidsfonds, CHOICE for Youth and Sexuality, in a partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The GUSO programme aims at empowering all young people, especially girls and young women, to realise their SRHR in societies that are positive towards young people's sexuality. To address this problem the GUSO programme uses a multicomponent approach in which it links (i) provision of sexuality education and information, (ii) provision of quality, youth-friendly SRH services and (iii) building support for youth SRHR, by addressing socio-cultural and political barriers in terms of practices, norms and policies. dance4life brings expertise on SRHR information and education. Targeting youth in- and out-of schools, d4l - together with the partner organization - engage young people through dance, music, theatre and online platforms and empower them to increase their confidence, to change attitudes and norms and behaviors.
