In Honduras, the GCP will set up a National coffee platform, based on a needs assessment and the elaboration of a national strategic plan. Additionally, this project seeks: 1) a deeper and broader engagement with national stakeholders; 2) the development of an NSC, incorporating cross-cutting issues like climate change adaptation, gender, living wage, where agreed with national stakeholders; 3) A testing and adaptation of indicators for gender inclusion in the Honduran coffee sector in collaboration with the Coffee Quality Institute and the Honducafé Foundation and; 4) The co-development and implementation of a farmer-centric initiative to increase productivity of smallholder households and implement food security practices, in collaboration with HEIFER international.
