  • autorenew Implementation (Status)

The Global Coffee Platform (GCP) as an inclusive multi-stakeholder sustainability platform for the global coffee sector, aims at supporting the SP program's coffee component through sector-wide approaches on national levels in up to five coffee growing countries, namely Indonesia, Honduras, Kenya, Nicaragua and Uganda. In Nicaragua there is no national coffee platform yet and no comprehensive scoping assessment has been carried out yet. Therefore, the activities that are planned in Nicaragua are: 1) a deeper and broader engagement with national stakeholders and scoping assessment, also with regards to the alignment with global and work-stream related coffee agendas; 2) the potential formulation of an NSC including gender aspects and the alignment with the global debate, and; 3) the initiation of a gender awareness and outreach program, linked to the NSC and national platform in partnership with Seeds for Progress.
