Training Project for the Department of Epidemiological Surveillance

Policy makers and policy enforcers in particular still lack technical capacities in order to engage farmers and their business organizations in the growing markets of sustainable/environmental friendly products. This project aims at strengthening these capacities at the Department of Epidemiological Surveillance & Pest Risk Analysis of the Ministry of Agriculture, livestock and Food (MAGA/CNAE). To achieve this, the MAGA/CNAE will work on knowledge development with technicians conducting training of trainers for other actors participating in the control of pest and diseases that may be destructive for crops, and other actors that provide technical support for certification of export products in Guatemala.
