  • autorenew Implementation (Status)

The Global Coffee Platform (GCP) as an inclusive multi-stakeholder sustainability platform for the global coffee sector, aims at supporting the SP program's coffee component through sector-wide approaches on national levels in up to five coffee growing countries, namely Indonesia, Honduras, Kenya, Nicaragua and Uganda. In Kenya, no national platform exists yet. Apart from the potential establishment of a national platform and the elaboration of a national coffee strategy with all involved stakeholders, a national sustainability curriculum and a respective monitoring mechanism may be developed in close cooperation with AFCA, covering cross-cutting themes including inclusion of women and youth in coffee supply chains, climate change adaptation practices and productivity.
