  • autorenew Implementation (Status)

In this project, KooKoo Pa will do the co-development and implementation of an approach to reduce child labour amongst their group members and their community members. They will do so with the technical assistance of Child Rights International (NGO). The approach will be in line with the UTZ code requirements on CLMRS (Child Labour Monitoring and Remediation). The approach will draw from the experience tool and existing networks that are present in Ghana as part of the Ghana CLMS (Child Labour Monitoring System). CRI's activities are aimed at building capacity within KooKoo Pa to be able to run the Farmer based CLMRS. In addition, CRI will also engage in lobbying and advocacy activities with and on behalf of the farmers and their children, to create conditions that allow farmer groups to implement effective and sustainable CLMRS. This is mainly aimed at creating more support from buyers and government to remediate the child labour identified, and also aimed at wider policy level changes which may benefit farmers outside KooKoo Pa.
