  • autorenew Implementation (Status)

In this project Child Rights International (NGO) will develop, implement and monitor an approach to reduce child labour in an UTZ certified farmer group, Kookoo Pa. The approach will be in line with the UTZ code requirements on CLMRS (Child Labour Monitoring and Remediation). It will draw from the experience tool and existing networks that are present in Ghana as part of the Ghana CLMS (Child Labour Monitoring System) and will be developed in collaboration with the KooKoo Pa farmer group. CRI's activities are aimed at building capacity within KooKoo Pa, to be able to run the approach independently after the project ends. The project will result in strengthened capacity of CRI to implement/build capacity with farmer groups to use effectively CLMRS in their certification programme. Secondly, a specific capacity strengthening trajectory may be set up as a separate project to improve the Lobby and Advocacy capacity of CRI and its partners on child protection, in cocoa.
