Share-Net Burundi (SN-BU) is the knowledge management platform in the field of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) with almost 6 years of experience in coordinating and mobilising partners in Burundi around the exchange of best practices, knowledge generation, promotion of research and evidence-based advocacy in SRHR. SN-BU consists of over 30 member organisations working in the field of SRHR (May 2021). Members range from non-governmental organisations, civil society organisations, media, students and individual experts in the field of SRHR, to the Government of Burundi through the National Reproductive Health Programme. Share-Net Burundi is hosted by Jimbere Magazine, a monthly publication designed as a true media platform with a strong commitment to the training, education and entertainment of Burundian youth and women. Share-Net Burundi is one of seven hubs within Share-Net International. Within the framework of its activities, Communities of Practice on different themes have been set up with several objectives: to stimulate the coordination of interventions and collaboration between partners in order to exchange experiences, co-create SRHR solutions but also to develop knowledge products, useful to reach national development goals in the field of SRHR. The activities range from facilitating meetings between members, holding debates (online and offline) on different topics related to sexual and reproductive health and research, coordinating multi-partner SRHR programmes, matchmaking by creating connections between students, researchers, policy-makers and practitioners in SRHR and disseminating information on our different online platforms.
