Share-Net Bangladesh (SN-BD) is a Knowledge Platform focusing on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) which is a very unique platform in Bangladesh. Bangladesh being a developing country in South-Asia, the platform aims to contribute significantly to policy and programme development in the field of SRHR. The hub has been active since 2015, drawing on the years of experiences and interventions by practitioners, researchers, and policymakers in the field of sexual reproductive health, especially placing it at the centre of human rights. The activities of this knowledge platform on SRHR in Bangladesh are aligned with its knowledge pathways, namely knowledge generation, translation, dissemination, promotion of knowledge use, and networking, following Share-Net International’s Theory of Change. To engage the experts on various issues in the field of SRHR, Share-Net Bangladesh brings together the dynamic Communities of Practice (CoP) on an online knowledge platform. The community consists of a network of over 1430 individuals and 104 organizations as its members (May 2021), including NGOs, INGOs, private sectors, social and medical researchers, development practitioners, legal experts, media people and students. Throughout the year, Share-Net Bangladesh meets with its CoPs to exchange knowledge and engage them in its activities. The annual highlights of Share-Net Bangladesh include the SRHR Knowledge Fair, the biggest of its kind various SRHR issues involving the CoPs, research publications, ‘Niharika’- the monthly newsletter, SRHR award and so on.
